Thanksgiving & Christmas is Big in McKinney!

22 Nov

MCVB treeIt’s no secret that the staff of the McKinney CVB and Made in McKinney Store LOVE the holidays. Yes, we get a little crazy around here about the holidays, within reason of course, and not as crazy as in this JibJab video – click the image to play it. (We love JibJab, don’t you? There’ll be more of these coming as Christmas nears. You’ve been warned!)

Our Thanksgiving Weekend Hours
We’ll be closing for Thanksgiving by about 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 27, and spend the day Thursday relaxing with family and friends…and probably eating too much, and enjoying turkey-induced naps, like most of the rest of America. But we’ll open Friday morning, ready to answer visitor questions, enjoy the start of Home for the Holidays, and to help people select fun McKinney-themed merchandise as gifts, either for family, friends, or yourself! (You need a little special treatment, too!)

On Friday, we’ll be here from 10 a.m. for Home for the Holidays…A McKinney Christmas (previously Dickens of a Christmas) until the tree lighting in Mitchell Park at 6 p.m. Then on Saturday, we’ll open a little early (about 9 a.m.) to greet Believe Run participants and attendees before the stores open at 10 a.m. for Day 2 of Home for the Holidays. And we’ll be here all day, until 8 p.m. GREAT shopping in our store where almost all our items are under $30. (And pssst: For Santa’s helpers who mention BIGFOOT at checkout, you’ll get a little special something in the way of a discount or little freebie!)

What’s Coming in December?
Rather than write much about December’s many activities, we’re just going to give you some links. Also make sure to check our homepage Spotlight events as well as our online calendar. You’ll have NO shortage of things to keep you and your family busy.)
